Mesut Ozil names the two Arsenal legends he has always dreamed of playing with
Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has named Gunners legends Dennis Bergkamp and Robert Pires as two of the footballers he has always dreamed of playing with.
The 32-year-old, who has yet to play for Arsenal in a competitive game his season, hosted a Q&A session on Twitter, answering fans’ questions via his personal account.

Ozil replied to a number of questions including , , and .
One fan asked Ozil about who he’s always dreamed of playing with, and his initial response was Zinedine Zidane, though he acknowledged this may have been difficult as both are No. 10s.
He then named Bergkamp and Pires, alongside Turkish legend Ridvan Dilmen and Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, adding that they’re all great humans off the pitch too.
I would say Zinedine Zidane – but that would have been difficult as we’re both No. 10 😁 Dennis Bergkamp, Robert Pires, Ridvan Dilmen & Gigi Buffon maybe – they are also great human beings outside the pitch.

Bergkamp was at Arsenal between 1995 and 2006, while Pires played for the Gunners between 2000 and 2006, both winning numerous trophies under Wenger at Highbury.
Back then, Arsenal were regularly competing for honours, their fierce rivalry with Manchester United leading to iconic clashes on the pitch – and sometimes, off it.
