Chris Sutton thinks he knows why Jeremy Doku wasn’t sent off for Man City vs Arsenal

Arsenal v Manchester City was everything Premier League fans wanted yesterday but there has been some major talking points among the fallout.

A number of huge decisions from Michael Oliver impacted the game and in the end, a hard-fought 2-2 draw was proba🌸bly a✃bout right.

Leandro Trossard’s red card was one of the main issues, albeit Dermot Gallaghe𒅌r has suggested Trossard was right to be sent off.

Of course, the red for Trossard was made worse for Arsenal as they felt𓃲 Jeremy Doku should have been s♏ent off for a similar issue.

Those looking back at the footage yesterday have pointed out how Doku 🌳was actually putting the ball bacꦚk where the offence happened.

And while that’s not what Arsenal fans will want to hear,🐻 Chris Sutton seems to be going alo🥂ng with that same train of thought.

Chris Sutton shares verdict on Jeremy Doku not being sent off v Arsenal

Sp🌠eaking on the podcast, Sutton believes he actually saw why Michael Oliver decided not to send Doku off.

“Just on the Doku one, I actually thought Michael Oliver was pointing back to a point where he wanted the ball and Do𓆉ku rolled the ball back to that general area, which may have saved him.

“I thoꦛught he was knocking the ball back to where the freꦜe kick should have been taken.”

Arsenal will bang this drum all season

When Declan Rice was sent off a few week🎉s ago, a precedent was set and you feel this is going to be something that dominates Arsenal games all season⛎.

It feels like the Gunners won’t rest until an opposition𒁏 player is sent off for the same as Rice and Trossard.

Until then, we are likely to see more of this complaining al💙l season.

In the main, Arsenal just need to get on with things and push on. They are in a great position to win a title and really, this sort of stuff just distracts them from reaching their♔ goals.
