‘May come in’… £30m player’s agent reckons his client could end up at Newcastle
Newcastle United have some business to tend to in the January transfer window.
The Magpies’ recent injury crisis has highlighted just how slim this squad actually is, and it needs beefing out if the Tyneside club are to challenge for major honours.
Sadly, both Callum Wilson and Alexander Isak have had their injury problems as of late, and it would appear as though Newcastle need another striker.
Speaking on , Ben Jacobs has been discussing the idea of Hugo Ekitike heading to St James’ Park, and according to the journalist the player’s agent is adamant that Newcastle are among the clubs interested in the man’s services in January.

Newcastle interested in Ekitike
Jacobs shared what he knows about the striker.
“Yeah and again Newcastle love to deny an Ekitike link and that’s beause they were frustrated by previous attempts and felt strung along by the agent. Those close to the player and on the PSG side still maintain that Newcastle are one of a number of clubs who may come in for a loan for the player,” Jacobs said.
Good option
Ekitike could be a great option for Newcastle in January.
He’s a young, hungry striker with something to prove, and he could be a brilliant third-choice option for the Magpies.
Of course, convincing a striker of this quality to come in and play third-fiddle isn’t necessarily the easiest of tasks, but given his lack of minutes at PSG and the fact that Newcastle have been pursuing him for a long time, perhaps there is a deal to be done here.
The fact of the matter is that Newcastle do need reinforcements in the winter, and doing a short-term loan on a player with huge upside could be just the kind of business Newcastle need to do at this moment in time.
