TBR View: £5m Mavropanos value represents poor transfer business from Arsenal

A £5m transfer value of Mavropanos represents poor business from Arsenal.

The noise coming out of the Bundesliga was that the Greek centre-half enjoyed a brilliant campaign. To secure a total of just £5m for his sale is a shocking figure.

At 23-years-old, he can still go on to haunt the Gunners should he endure a Serge Gnabry-esque ascension.

However, amidst the shocking news, you’ve come to expect that from the north London giants. They have never been the best at conducting business especially sales.

Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri and Robin van Persie spring to mind.
