Mauricio Pochettino’s comments suggest Christian Eriksen’s Tottenham decision is imminent
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen sees his contract at the club expire in 2020, w♔ith rumours swirling that the attacker could leave north London before then.
Mauricio Pochet🐼tino’s latest comments reveal that the Danish playmaker could be set to make his Spurs decision shortly, possibly sparing the nerꦏves of many Tottenham supporters.
When speaking to , the Tottenham manager hinted that Eriksen would settle on his future plans in either the coming days or monthღs.
“The decision is going to happen, at the end of the season, or another decision is going to happen in the next few days, in January,” Pochettino said. “I hope we are going to keep the best decision for the ꧟club, hope that the player can take the best decision for them and for their future and the club.”
Although the Argentine manager gave away little in his statement, it is clear Tottenham must do everything in their power to keep Eriksen at t🥃he club.
Many potential options are on the table, such as Eriksen signing a new contract, departing in the summer, or even Spurs signing a r🙈eplacement for him in January.
Yet Spurs mꦅust distance themselves from the speculation and focus all their efforts on convincing the midfielder to remain in north London.
Mauricio Pochettino expressed oꦬptimism that Eriksen will make “the best decision” for both Spurs and his career, and hopefully for Tottenham, that move will be a contract extension.
