Matteo Guendouzi says Arsenal have loaned out a ‘great’ player who can become ‘one of the best’
Former Arsenal star Matteo Guendouzi has heaped praise on a player who Mikel Arteta has sent out on loan for the upcoming season.
The Gunners have🅰 a big squad and the plan was to always move several players on in this window – either on loan or permanent deals.
That hasn’t been particularly easy, but Arteta and Edu Gaspar are working really hard to fulfil their transfer objectives behind the sc✃enes.
Arsenal have pushed a f🦩ew play🐻ers out of the club already.
Guendouzi appears to be a huge fan of one of 🃏them and has backed him to become one of the best players in hi🔥s position.
Matteo Guendouzi shares what he’s ‘100 per cent’ sure about Arsenal’s Nuno Tavares
Nuno Tavares has been on Arsenal’s b🍨ooks since the summer of 2021.
The Gunners signed the Portuguese full-back from Benfica, and he started his career in the famous red and white in fantasti🌺c style♕.
However, he lost his confidence in the second half of his debut campaign, and Arteta hasn’t really trusted Tavares since that point.
The defender has had two spells away on loan already, and Arsenal have se🦋nt him on anᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚother loan deal to Serie A side Lazio. However, this time, the Gunners have included an obligation-to-buy clause in the contract.
Lazio will sign Tavares on a permanent deal in 2025ꦕ, and one man is absolutely delighted with that – former Gunner Gunedouzi.
The French🌃man rubbed shoulders with Tavares at Marseille, and they have been reunited again. Gunedouzi has raved about him now.
Speaking on the , as translated by , he said: “I know Nuno Tava🏅res. We played together at Marseille and he is a friend of mine!
“When he called me𒅌 and told me that Lazio were looking for him, I pushed to have him come because I know he is a great player✨ and I think he can become one of the best full-backs in Italy.
“He has great qualities. I am 10🦄0 per cent sure of his qualities.”

Tavares’ price tag was huge in 2022
Tavares is a talented player, but he just didn’💧t fit into Arteta’s system at Arsenal.
The Portuguese defender is absolutely♚ rapid, possesses g📖reat dribbling skills and has the ability to have a real impact in the attacking third.
That was the reason why Edu signed him and just a year after his arrival, reports claimed that Arsenal had🐠 slapped a £35 million asking price on Tavares.
That ꧃valuation was never met, and Arsenal have now agreed to sell him to Lazio next year for a fee betwee🉐n £5.9 million and £6.75 million ().
That is a shame for Arsenal, but a m♛ove away this summer was the best thing for all parties involved.
