‘Masterclass’: Some Tottenham fans laud Jamie Donley after U18s brace
Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting on social media after Jamie Donley struck a brace to help thrash Norwich City’s Under 18s on Tuesday afternoon.
Donley has been a regular aspect of Matthew Taylor’s plans this season, but he had not scored for the north London side’s junior ranks of the U18 Premier League campaign back in November.
He broke his seven-game drought at home to Norwich to help complete a second-half comeback to thrash the Norfolk side 5-2, having trailed to the young Canaries squad at the break.

Tony Springett capitalised on an opening 45 minutes in which chances were infrequent to snatch a double for the visitors, before Dane Scarlett started the comeback just before the break.
Roshaun Mathurin later drew Tottenham level at the start of the second period and Donley soon followed up to turn home Michael Craig’s pass, for the midfielder’s of the U18 Premier League campaign and fourth in his last six outings.
Donley added a flourishing end to his day when he hit a second to round out the rout, and earned praise from a selection of supporters who adamantly feel his stock is on the rise.
The former England youth international only made his for Tottenham in November’s draw with Leicester City’s academy side, but added to his U18 Premier League goal with FA Youth Cup ties earlier in the campaign.
