Martin Odegaard backed to spend the next 10 years at Arsenal
Martin Odegaard has been backed to play for Arsenal for the next 10 years by family friend Rune Marthinsen in an interview .
Odegaard has proved to be an outstanding signing for the Gunners. Of course, he spent the second-half of last season on loan at the Emirates. And he showed enough while there to convince Arsenal to spend more than to sign him permanently in the summer.

It is a deal that could be a real game-changer for the Gunners. The Norwegian has been ‘unbelievable‘ at times this season. And his form has prompted many supporters to laud the club for making sure that he stayed beyond his loan.
Obviously, many have been aware of Odegaard for around eight years now. So it is remarkable to think that he is only 23 years of age. And with that, there is scope for the midfielder to improve considerably in the years to come.

And one friend of his family has suggested that there is every chance that Odegaard could devote the large majority of his career to Arsenal.
Marthinsen : “He is happy. I know that for a fact. He likes London and loves Arsenal. He has a big connection with Arteta. We are so proud of him. He is a good character with the right focus and he loves football. He can play 10 years for Arsenal.”
Mikel Arteta has big plans for Martin Odegaard at Arsenal
Odegaard is certainly the kind of player who Mikel Arteta could build his team around. He has captained the side in the last three Premier League games. And he is no stranger to wearing the armband, with the former Real Madrid man the current Norway skipper.
It would not be a surprise to see Arteta name Odegaard the permanent captain at this stage. And that should only help ensure that he commits the best years of his career to North London.
