Martin Keown ‘immensely impressed’ by £20m player on Arsenal radar
Arsenal legend Martin Keown has waxed lyrical about reported Gunners target Eberechi Eze.
Keown, speaking on ahead of Arsenal‘s meeting with Crystal Palace, said the 25-year-old is an “immense talent”.
Keown also recalled when he visited the Eagles’ training ground a year ago and was impressed by Eze‘s attitude when speaking to him.
In November, reported that Arsenal are one of numerous clubs tracking the England international progress at Selhurst Park.
Admittedly, the report came out in wake of Eze putting pen to paper on a new Palace contract until the summer of 2027.
However, with Palace currently struggling and looking over their shoulders, there’s a good chance Arsenal will still be keeping tabs on the situation.

Arsenal legend Martin Keown ‘immensely impressed’ by Eberechi Eze
Keown admits he was “immensely impressed” by Eze as he asked the Arsenal legend “a million questions” about what it takes to be the best in training and on the pitch.
“I was at the training ground this time last year when Patrick Vieira was about to leave, and I spoke to Eze,” he told TNT Sports.
“I was immensely impressed with him. A million questions [he asked me]; he particularly wanted to know about work ethic, how I trained every day, how I wanted to be the best.
“He was like, ‘Ok, I need to do more.’ It was very interesting; I watched with great interest afterwards, and he’s just gone on.
“Roy in his ear, [is] presenting him in the right way. This guy is an immense talent, there’s no doubt about that.”
Palace struck gold when they signed Eze from Queens Park Rangers for just in 2020. He has become a Premier League star and has a bright future ahead of him.
While a January move will be very hard for Arsenal to pull off, let’s see what happens over the course of the season. If Palace continue to struggle, there will no doubt be clubs looking to take Eze off their hands.
