Marseille reportedly agree personal terms with Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi
Marseille have reportedly agreed to personal terms with Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi ahead of a summer transfer.
, the 22-year-old midfielder has agreed to join the Ligue 1 side this transfer window. Marseille and Arsenal, though, are yet to begin talks on a potential move.

Out of favour at Arsenal
Guendouzi is expected to leave Arsenal this summer after two years with the club. The youngster was one of Unai Emery’s first signings during his tenure in north London.
However, the former FC Lorient star fell out of favour with Mikel Arteta.

The French U-21 captain was shipped out on loan to Hertha Berlin in last year’s summer transfer window.
And Guendouzi has a successful spell in Germany, making 24 Bundesliga appearances and scoring twice whilst assisting another three.
All change in north London
Arsenal are set for a huge squad overhaul this summer as . And , Guendouzi is one of the players Arteta is expected to sell in the upcoming transfer window.

Granit Xhaka is another name that has been touted this week as a potential departure for the Gunners. that AS Roma have had a bid rejected for the midfielder, with Arsenal wanting at least £20m for the midfielder.
Marseille is the perfect club for Guendouzi
Guendouzi’s mentality has always been a problem in his short career. The midfielder has been criticised at all three clubs he has played at for his attitude and rebelliousness. Yet in Marseille, the French youngster could find a perfect home.

The Ligue 1 giants have one of the largest followings in all of France, and players who play with passion and fire are adored by supporters, something Guendouzi offers in droves.
And the explosive nature of Marseille could serve as a prime learning ground for Guendouzi to mature, something he lacked at Arsenal which seemingly played a factor in his departure last summer to Hertha.
