Mark Noble praises West Ham United new-boy Sebastien Haller’s fast start

West Ham captain Mark Noble wants the media to leave Sebastien Haller to settle in after his impressive start to the season.

, Noble praised the way Haller has settled in but said the Frenchman doesn’t need any more attention from the press.

He : “He doesn’t need the media going on about how many goals he is going to get! Let’s let him keep finding his feet. Let’s hope he keeps enjoying it and not put pressure on him.

“He speaks good English, he’s a great lad who wants to learn, wants to play, wants to win. We need young, enthusiastic players who are going to want to be here and play for the club for a long time, and it seems to be the case with him.”

TBR’s View – Noble is spot on about the profile of player West Ham need

West Ham have made great strides under Manuel Pellegrini in terms of the style of play and the calibre of players they’re attracting, and Noble hits on that.

The Hammers were never going to get anywhere with ageing players who just want to take the money and live in London and Haller is a young, hungry player who has plenty of potential.

There’s been plenty of talk about how the Hammers haven’t had a striker get over 15 goals a season for far too long, and Noble is right to say that Haller doesn’t need to be wrapped up in any of that.
