Mark Noble labels West Ham teammate Vladimir Coufal phenomenal

Mark Noble that Vladimir Coufal has been phenomenal since joining the Hammers considering that the none of the fans had probably heard of the right-back before his arrival.

The Irons had already produced one transfer masterstroke when signing a player from Slavia Prague last year by the time Coufal arrived.

Tomas Soucek had been outstanding following his loan move for the second-half of last season. His form prompted West Ham to make his move permanent in the summer.

And they ended that window by adding his countryman to their ranks. , the Irons paid just £5 million for the defender.

Despite Soucek’s success, you could understand why fans may have been underwhelmed with the move. But any doubts about Coufal – who earns around £31,000-a-week, – have been alleviated emphatically.

And while reflecting on West Ham’s success in recent months, Noble picked out the 28-year-old as one he has been particularly impressed by – along with Declan Rice and Soucek.

“It’s been so nice actually coming out of lockdown and watching the way the boys have played, being involved in that, seeing players like Dec, who came through underneath me as a kid, big Tom, who is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet, Vladi coming in,” .

“I can tell you probably no West Ham fan in the world knew who Vladi was and now everybody knows who is because he’s been phenomenal for us.”

West Ham’s transfer dealings appear to have improved dramatically in the last handful of windows. All of the first-team players signed have made a positive impact for Moyes’ men.

Like Coufal, Craig Dawson has been a revelation. Meanwhile, Jesse Lingard and Said Benrahma have shown glimpses of their undeniable quality.

Benrahma’s loan has already been converted into a permanent move. And Lingard marked his debut with two goals.

Of course, that success has not addressed all of the fans’ concerns. Many would have clearly loved to have seen a striker arrive in January.

But there is little question that Moyes appears to be building something extremely impressive right now. And signing Coufal was one of the club’s most inspired moves.
