Mark Lawrenson predicts Leeds vs Leicester result
Mark Lawrenson that he does not fancy Leeds United’s chances of keeping Jamie Vardy quiet when they meet Leicester City at Elland Road this weekend.
The Whites go into the game off the back of their second win of the season in the Premier League.

However, the victory at Norwich probably left more questions than answers. Leeds were extremely poor in the first-half.
They did improve after the break. But they were still nowhere near their best against the hapless Canaries.
The Foxes were beaten last time out against Arsenal. On another day however, Brendan Rodgers’ side could have easily made it three victories on the spin were it not for an inspired display from Aaron Ramsdale.

And off the back of that loss, Lawrenson has suggested that he is anticipating an away win at Elland Road.
“Leeds just don’t look quite the same side as they were last season. When I watched their win over Norwich they were good going forward but, defensively, it felt like they were going to concede every time the ball came into their area. They’ve been open before, but not like that,” , as he predicted a 2-1 Leicester win.
“Marcelo Bielsa’s side still got a good result at Carrow Road, but they were very shaky and when I think about Leicester’s Jamie Vardy running at their back four, I don’t fancy their chances of keeping him quiet.”
Leeds have big point to prove against Leicester after unconvincing win
Lawrenson is right to suggest that Leeds were not very good at Carrow Road. However, they rarely looked like conceding a second either.
Nevertheless, it does appear that they still have plenty to prove when the Foxes come to Yorkshire.
There are not too many sides who will drop points against Norwich this season. So Marcelo Bielsa will not be getting carried away with Sunday’s win.
A victory this weekend will suggest that Leeds are indeed ready to kick on at long last.
But a loss may take away any of the cautious confidence that was collected with their result last time out.
