Mark Lawrenson predicts Leeds vs Everton; hails Patrick Bamford
Mark Lawrenson that he is backing Leeds United to beat Everton 2-0 when the two sides meet at Elland Road on Wednesday.
Everton have won one of their last four in the Premier League. And they suffered a hugely disappointing 2-0 loss at home to Newcastle on Saturday.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side have also only scored four goals in their last five in the league.
Leeds meanwhile, go into the game off the back of one of their best performances this season. They came from behind to beat Leicester 3-1 at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.
It was an outstanding display from Marcelo Bielsa’s men. And it was Patrick Bamford who stole many of the headlines as he scored one and contributed two assists.

And ahead of the showdown, Lawrenson lauded the striker while also backing his side to pick up their third win in a row.
“It was a strange performance by Everton at the weekend. They never really got going against Newcastle and another worry is that the goals have dried up for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has not scored in any of his past seven league games,” .
“Leeds were impressive in their win over Leicester, which saw Patrick Bamford end his mini goal-drought.
“Bamford deserves a mention for the quality of that strike, and also for playing Jack Harrison in for the crucial third goal – his attitude and awareness is top class.”
The previous meeting between the two sides saw a fantastic game take place at Goodison Park. Ultimately, it was Leeds who edged it with Raphinha scoring from distance towards the latter stages of the contest.
All things considered therefore, Everton may feel that they have a point to prove.
But Leeds should also be wary. Only Manchester United and Leicester have won more games away from home this season than Ancelotti’s side.
