Everton manager Marco Silva says defender Yerry Mina is still struggling with pain ahead of the club’s Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
The 25-year-old was forced off against Watford in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, and is a doubt for Sunday’s visit of the north Londoners.
Mina missed the last Premier League outing against Brighton due to the issue but riskily returned to face the Hornets, whom he lasted 41 minutes against before being withdrawn.

Speaking about the Colombian, Silva said (): “Let’s see. Like I said after the match [against Watford], it’s nothing special there.
“We have made an exam again and there is nothing really serious there.
“He has a small pain so let’s see in the next few hours, the next few days if he will be able to play [at the weekend].”
TBR’s view – Everton’s best player?
Silva and the fans will be desperately hoping to see £120,000-a-week star Mina () available for Sunday’s game.

Arguably Mina has been the Toffees’ best player in 2019/20, putting in several commanding performances at the back.
He is, literally, a huge presence in the side and he has really started to perform more consistently for Everton following his 2018 summer transfer from Barcelona.
