Dallas, meanwhile, was one of the best players on the pitch as Northern Ireland pushed Germany in an eventual 2-0 defeat.

which took Leeds back to the top of the Championship, Bielsa suggested the international appearances highlight the duo’s readiness for the top-flight.

“Last match, Dallas played Germany. If you watch this match you will find an answer to your question.

“Cooper played against Belgium’s strikers. Russia as well. He left a clear message he can play against top-level players.”

TBR’s View

It is quite incredible to think that Cooper and Dallas are now considered Premier League worthy by a manager of Bielsa’s calibre.

Before his arrival at Elland Road, both players were struggling for consistent form and were often the target of ire from the Leeds fans.

However, Bielsa has helped transform the pair and they are now playing perhaps the best football of their careers. Leeds fans will hope the duo can take the club back to the Premier League this season.
