Marcelo Bielsa has better Leeds win percentage than Don Revie

Marcelo Bielsa has made quite the impact since he was appointed Leeds United boss in June 2018 and he’s got to be one of the most adored managers in recent history at Elland Road.

The 64-year-old has introduced a possession-based style of play with great intensity that is pleasing on the eye and his squad have really brought into the idea.

His team ended up falling short in the play-offs during his first season in charge, but this campaign they sit top of the Championship table with nine league games remaining.

The Yorkshire giants currently face a patient wait to resume, as football is suspended due to the outbreak of coronavirus.

Bielsa remarkably has a statistic of being the Leeds manager with the best win percentage throughout the club’s history ().

The Argentine has won 49 of his 91 games to give him an impressive 53.85 win per percentage and being top of the pile shows what a great job he is doing.

He even has a better record than Leeds legend Don Revie, albeit over a much smaller sample size.

Revie had 394 victories during 740 games in charge of the Whites, giving him an excellent 53.24 win percentage to put him second on the all-time list.

Revie is regarded as Leeds’ best ever manager for winning two First Division titles, as well as a Second Division title, FA Cup, League Cup, FA Charity Shield and two Inter-Cities Fairs Cups.

It’s unlikely that anyone is going to close to his achievements again at Leeds, but the fans have a current idol in Bielsa that they have full faith in to help them return to the Premier League.
