Marcelo Bielsa claims Stuart Dallas could play in new position, four Leeds players ruled out
Marcelo Bielsa has told his pre-Millwall press conference – – as saying that he could hand Stuart Dallas a completely new position on Saturday afternoon, as well as ruling four Leeds players out.
Dallas, 28, has been playing at right-back of late despite being left-footed and naturally a winger. He has played on both wings, and either side of the defence since joining Leeds from Brentford in the summer of 2015 for £1.3million ().
Luke Ayling had been previously injured but the former Arsenal man is back following his time on the sidelines, and made a substitute appearance against West Brom on Tuesday. It is believed Ayling could return.
Bielsa stated as much, while ruling Pablo Hernandez, Adam Forshaw, Jamie Shackleton and Liam Cooper out of the match. He said that he may look to push Dallas into the middle of the park, or that he could use Tyler Roberts.
“Probably we will play Ayling instead of Dallas and Dallas in place of Shackleton,” “He’s [Hernandez] better. But he and Adam Forshaw won’t be part of the group on Saturday. Berardi is the direct substitution [for Cooper].”

TBR’s view – How will Leeds line-up against Millwall, then?
It is a bit of a snub for Roberts, if Dallas does play in central midfield. Roberts was subbed on and then off again without doing anything wrong on Tuesday night, and now he could be replaced by a player who has not played in that position before.
The obvious players remain. Kiko Casilla in goal, with a back four of Ayling, Berardi, Ben White and Gjanni Alioski. In midfield, Kalvin Phillips will sit behind Dallas and Mateusz Klich. Out wide, Jack Harrison and Helder Costa.
After Tuesday night’s win, the reinvigorated Patrick Bamford will continue up front.
