Marc Albrighton discusses facing his former club Aston Villa in EFL Cup semi-finals

Former Aston Villa winger says he will watch his old club at Wembley if they knock his Leicester City side out in the EFL Cup semi-finals.

The Midlands rivals have been drawn against each other in the last four and Albrighton says he will be at Wembley either way – as a player or a fan.

He told the “I can’t wait. I’ll be at Wembley either way! It’s a great draw for me personally, I’ll be asking for a few tickets I’m sure. I know personally what Villa Park is like. It will be some atmosphere there, as it will be at the King Power.

“We need to be professional about it. We had a good result there the other week [a 4-1 victory]. It gives us confidence going there. The first leg is at the King Power, so we need to do the right work there and then go to Villa Park and be ready for a tough test.”

TBR’s View – Leicester favourites but Villa can get the job done over two legs

Norwich showed last weekend that it’s possible for a side in the lower reaches of the table to frustrate and threaten Leicester on their own patch.

Villa have got a great opportunity to get to Wembley, but must defend better than they did against the Foxes earlier this month.
