Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford stance in wake of his goal for Aston Villa against Manchester City
TBR Football can exclusively provide an update on the state of play involving Manchester United and Aston Villa loanee Marcus Rashford.
Marcus Rashford swapped Manchester United for Aston Villa in the winter transfer window, and he is very much thriving for Unai Emery’s side.
Rashford started against Manchester City on Tuesday and very nearly helped his side claim a point with a well-taken penalty.
The City fans tried to put Rashford off when he took to the spot, but he coolly slotted the ball into the other side of Stefan Ortega’s dive.
With Rashford doing so well, speculation is now doing the rounds among fans as to whether he could be integrated back into Ruben Amorim’s squad.

Manchester United sources say it’s very unlikely Ruben Amorim will want Marcus Rashford back
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey can confirm that Rashford and United are waiting to see how things play out.
All parties are very much aware it is a subject that will be back on their agenda in their near future.
Rashford, for his part, is keeping his options open, with his camp looking already towards some big clubs.
TBR Football sources say Villa would be open to taking him on permanently, but his wages remain a huge issue.
Amorim was insistent in January he didn’t want him back – could that change? Man United sources don’t believe that is likely at all.
What Marcus Rashford has been like behind the scenes at Aston Villa
Rashford wasn’t having the best time at Old Trafford prior to his loan switch, but it looks as though he has got his career firmly back on track.
John McGinn recently spoke about what Rashford has been like behind the scenes at Aston Villa, and he had some very good things to say.
“It’s nice to see him every day with a smile on his face,” said McGinn.
“I think it’s very easy to look at the negative press that surrounds Marcus and has done for a while and be judged by that.
“But you judge with your own eyes, you judge who is about the place to people, and I must say he’s been first class, both on and off the pitch.
“Very good guy, humble, hardworking, all the things you read that you don’t expect to see – but in an Aston Villa jersey he seems to be thriving.”
