Report: Club don’t want to sell their ‘unbelievable’ player to Arsenal, but will do business with other sides
Arsenal will struggle to follow up their interest in Manchester United midfielder, Donny van de Beek, thanks to the fact that United see the Gunners as direct rivals for a Champions League place.
Van de Beek is among a number of names being linked with a move to Arsenal. Mikel Arteta is frantically searching for a new midfielder. Indeed, Juventus star Arthur Melo is believed to be nearing a move to London, although nothing is confirmed as yet.

But while Arsenal admire Van de Beek as well, according to , they won’t be getting him anytime soon. United are simply not willing to do business with a top four rival. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean United won’t allow the Dutchman to move elsewhere. Newcastle are thought to be keen, with reports yesterday suggesting Van de Beek had been offered to the Magpies.
The former Ajax star has struggled for game time with United. News of no move to Arsenal will disappoint former striker, Kevin Campbell. He had recently said the Gunners should sign Van de Beek, highlighting his ‘unbelievable’ talent and ‘super ability’ as a key factor.

For the Dutchman, it could continue to be a frustrating season. He’s simply not getting minutes. And sooner or later, he will want out. If that goes into the summer, expect Arsenal and Newcastle to be waiting with open arms.
