Manchester United see ‘world-class’ midfielder Michael Edwards wants at Liverpool as a ‘priority’ signing
Manchester United fans are expecting their club to spend a bit of money on new players this summer.
After Jim Ratcliffe finally became part-owner of the club, United fans are sitting patiently and waiting to see who any new arrivals might be.
Naturally, being such a big club, there are a number of players being linked to the club.
Donyell Malen is one of the names being thrown around round right now. Further, Ivan Toney has also been backed to join United this summer over Arsenal.
As well as those two, other players will get thrown into the mix as well along the way.
And one of those players apparently on United’s radar is someone Liverpool are looking closely at.

£25m midfielder considered a priority signing for Manchester United
As we all know, United splashed out massive money on Casemiro not too long ago. And while the Brazilian has had an impact in midfield at times, there’s a belief around the club they need someone younger.
A new midfielder, then, seems very likely in the summer.
And according to a report from Spanish outlet, , Germany start Joshua Kimmich is being considered as a priority signing for United.
According to the report, Kimmich could be targeted by United as they seek to sell Casemiro and reinvest any funds into the squad.
Of course, Kimmich is heavily linked with Liverpool. Indeed, it’s been reported the German would even love to join the Reds, with Michael Edwards a massive fan.
Joshua Kimmich is ‘world-class’
Anyone with half an eye on football knows that Josh Kimmich is one of the best midfielders in the world.
“The great thing is he’s world class at right-back and in midfield,” Julian Nagelsmann
Pep Guardiola, too has also lauded Kimmich in the past, claiming the midfielder has ‘absolutely everything’ in his locker as a footballer.
Should United be able to land Kimmich at reported knockdown price of , then it would be a big first statement of intent from Ratcliffe and co.
Manchester United, historically, have always been a place the top players want to come.
That has gone a bit in the last few years. Landing Kimmich, then, could be the start of those days starting to return.
