Manchester United round-up: Neymar’s £173million release clause to be paid; Inter Milan’s Marcelo Brozovic linked; Juan Mata discusses fixtures

๊Barcelona-based newspaper  report that they believe Manchester United will trigger Neymar’s release clause, worth an eye-watering £173 million. The Brazilian is not up for sale but the club would have no choice but to accept the offer and allow him to hold talks with the Red Devils.

👍The left winger has enjoyed some of the best form of his life of late, with many seeing him as the long-term successor to Lionel Messi at the Camp Nou, but he could now seek an early exit. All this considered, Ed Woodward and co. will still have to convince the superstar to agree to leave the club.

ꦬHe could be joined by Inter Milan sensation Marcelo Brozovic according to Italian outlet . The 24-year-old central midfielder has scored five goals and set up another four in 22 appearances for the San Siro outfit this season and has also shone for the Croatian national team.

🐼The reports indicate that Inter have demanded a fee of at least £43 million for the youngster as they remain reluctant to sell the talented midfielder, even if it is to their former manager in the form of Jose Mourinho after his highly successful period in Milan where he won the treble.

♕With two titles already under his belt at Old Trafford this season, Mourinho could add a third title this season in the Europa League but the side faces a tough challenge in April with nine matches in a month. Juan Mata discussed the congestion, writing on the :

“West Bromwich Albion, Everton, Sunderland, Anderlecht, Chelsea, Burnley, Manchester City and Swansea. It’s not a random list of teams, it’s the list of the eight teams we’re going to face in a frantic month of April. Since we have to play twice against Anderlecht (first and second leg), it makes a total of nine games for us the next month! It’s not a complaint, it’s just a reality and we have to adapt ourselves to it, in order to give the best we have in the decisive spell of the season. I see these games as a challenge to show all the good things we’ve been working on throughout the season, and I hope that we can get good results too.”

ﷺThe Spaniard has played an important role for his club this season, frequently popping up with crucial goals and contributions to the side in their hunt for further silverware and a top-four finish.
