Manchester United round-up: New contract for Ander Herrera; Mourinho hits out at Anthony Martial; PSG’s Serge Aurier linked

After huge improvements this season have seen him become a fan favourite and key performer for Manchester United, the  say that the clubဣ will offer Ander Herrera a new contract which will see his wages increase to £120,000 per week, up from the £75,000 per week that he earns with his current deal which is set to expire next summer.

The Spaniard has become a key cog in Jose Mourinho’s United machine lining up in midfield and has ✤missed only six games, three through suspension, this season. It’s clear that the 27-year-old has a key role to play and could be at the heart of Mourinho’s rebuild of the team.

Howe♒ver, Anthony Martial can not rely on having such clarity on his future, particularly after Jose Mo𝓰urinho publicly criticised him as he revealed in a press conference, as reported by the :

“We are together for almost 10 months. The same way I know the players much better now, the players should know me much better. The same way I know what the players like, the players know what I like…

“That’s why Marcus Rashford, even without scoring goals, even with being since September without a goal in the Premier League, was always a player I trusted, I played, I supported because he was always coming in my direction…

“Do I think Anthony is a player with great potential? Yes, I think. Do I think he can play successfully for me? Yes I think. But he needs to give me things that I like.”

Having made just four Premier League starts in 2017, the Frenchman’s future is unclear and he may not take kindly to being a reserve choice with a number of suitors likely to be found if he does co🌌nsider his future at Old Trafford.

Another man who could be on the move is Paris Saint-Germain right-back Serge Aurier as French newspaper  claim that the Ivory Coast international has agreed a deal with the ꧋Re𒈔d Devils and is now only waiting for the two clubs to come to an agreement for him to leave France for Manchester in the summer.

Strong defensively and also a threat when on the attack, Aurier could be an immediate successor to Antonio Valencia as the former Wigan man grows older and may struggle to cope with 50 games a seas🧜on.
