Jamie Carragher stunned by ‘extraordinary’ Erik ten Hag stat he’s heard ahead of Tottenham game this weekend

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is seemingly under pressure right now, with new part owners at Old Trafford keeping a close eye.

Ten Hag’s men have flattered to deceive all season long and remain one of the most inconsistent teams in the land. But in the main, it’s been poor by United’s standards and it’s just one win from the last five heading into this weekend’s clash with Tottenham.

Going into the weekend, United will probably be underdogs against a resurgent Spurs side led by infectious new manager, Ange Postecoglou.

For United, that’s not whaꦚt fa🌳ns want to see or feel.

However, quite remarkably, Ten Hag is heading towards being the best manager – s𒀰tatistically – in United’s history if they win this weekend.

And writing for , Jamie Carragher has admitted he cannot quite believe the Dutchman is in line to surpass ⭕the great Sir Alex Fergu﷽son.

“One of the more extraordinary facts about Ten Hag is that he will surpass Sir Alex Ferguson’s win percentage shou♉ld his side beat Tottenham Hotspur this weekend,” Carra♒gher writes.

Not all about the win percentage for Erik ten Hag

While this figure might seem impressive – he’s on course to go ahead of w📖in rate, there’s more to it than that.

United fans wa🧸nt their team to play a certain way, for a start. Under Ten Hag, it’s become quite laborious, with games often won by way of a counter attack or even the oppositions ineptitude in front of goal.

Further, Ten Hag is only 83 games into his tenure, whereas Ferguson🐬 did this over 1500 games, a quite remarkable feat really.

And finally, Ferguson’s United were the dominant force in foo♔tball while he was theꦆre. Ten Hag’s United are an absolute mile away from being anywhere near that.

There is, then🍸, more to football and a football club than just one simple🅘 stat.
