Manchester United have ‘genuine interestin signing £80m attacker but already face big problem
Manchester United spent big this summer in an attempt to once again build a squad that could challenge for the Premier League title, with Erik Ten Hag’s chances seemingly already over.
The Red Devils have endured another disappointing start to a season with the Old Trafford side sat 14th after seven league games, with United closer to the relegation zone than the Premier League top-four already.
With summer signing Joshua Zirkzee already being slammed by Steve Nicol, it’s clear that United still have a long way to go if they’re to reach their former heights over a decade ago under Sir Alex Ferguson.
Yet it appears that United are still looking to spend their way out of their problems, though one target could be hard to sign.

Manchester United eye Randal Kolo Muani despite PSG stance
According to , United are interested in PSG attacker Randal Kolo Muani, though the reigning French champions have little interest in selling the forward having spent 5m (£80m) last summer to bring the 25-year-old to Paris from Eintracht Frankfurt.
With young attackers Zirkzee and Rasums Hojlund struggling this season coupled with Les Ferdinand pointing out that Marcus Rashford looks unhappy already at United this campaign, it makes sense why the Red Devils are eyeing someone of Kolo Muani’s quality.
The France international scored 12 goals and bagged six assists in all competitions for PSG with Kolo Muani this year tasked with the job of replacing Kylian Mbappe in the attack, with the forward only managing two strikes this season.
For what United need to solve their goalscoring problems upfront, though, Ten Hag should be looking at an attacker in the prime of their career, with Kolo Muani seemingly off the table already as a potential target.

United need a definitive attacking target to solve their problems
The black cloud hanging around Old Trafford has never looked darker for United after a dismal start to the season, with the sacking of Ten Hag now feeling like an inevitability rather than a potential consequence.
Yet with a structure in place to provide the first-team with what they need, United’s transfer board need to find a definitive attacking target who could act as a silver bullet to solve the Red Devilsproblems in front of goal.
Indeed, Zirkzee and Holjund are players for the future who could come good eventually, but for the here and now, United need someone who can find the back of the net on a regular basis, something Old Trafford officials failed to do this summer.
