Manchester United fans react to Jerome Boateng performance on Twitter
Germany’s World Cup hopes are still alive after a miraculous last-gasp goal from Toni Kroos gave them a much-needed win over Sweden. But one player who will not be congratulated for his efforts will be Jerome Boateng.
The Bayern Munich defender put in an abysmal display. He spent much of the game completely disregarding any of his defensive duties. Allowing the Sweden strikers to run in behind him with ease he received a let off from a Marcus Berg penalty appeal. Ex-Sunderland flop Ola Toivonen was less generous, lofting a sublime lob over Manuel Neuer after getting the wrong side of the German defender.
He was then sent off in the second-half. It was indicative of his woeful display that Germany performed better without Boateng on the pitch.

This week he has been linked with a move to the Premier League, namely Manchester United. The former Manchester City defender is believed to be available at Bayern after an indifferent and injury-struck season.
he was available for £50 million and that United were interested.
Manchester United are on the hunt for defensive reinforcements this summer, but Boateng looks like he would only make the side weaker.
Meanwhile, at the other end, a current Manchester United player put in a great display. Victor Lindelof is being linked with the axe at Old Trafford, but was unfortunate to be on the losing side.
Based on the evidence of yesterday Manchester United are better off with the Swede instead of the rapidly declining talents of ‘King’ Boateng…
I wish all this rumours about going for are false. He has been awful in the last two games.

One of the worst displays of Boateng’s career – Reckless, Clumsy coupled with a comfortable 20 minute spell in the 2nd half .. stay away

Based on what we’ve seen in this tournament from Boateng, I think we should pass… ?

On the basis of today, Lindelof is ten times the player Boateng is. Let’s sign him instead……

I guess Boateng just depreciated in value.
Ed’s onto it …..

It’s a massive blessing for Germany that boateng can’t play the next game. He’s a liability. please don’t sign him.
