Manchester United are scouting ‘world class’ Premier League playmaker who Tottenham want to sign
Manchester United may well have enjoyed a busy summer window but there may already be the feeling more could have been done.
Erik ten Hag saw a number of new faces arrive at Old Trafford over the summer but that has not prevented the Red Devils from a poor start.
Man United have only been able to take three points from their opening three games as they return from the break on the back of two defeats.
And there may already be an eye on the upcoming windows from Dan Ashworth following his appointment over the summer.
With the transfer window now shut until January, United are already scouting a playmaker who Tottenham Hotspur were keen to sign over the summer.

Manchester United eyeing Tottenham summer target
Tottenham were one of the sides who showed a real interest in Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze over the summer window.
However, Eze had a £60m release clause in his contract which is believed to require a big upfront payment.
And it is claimed Palace could potentially be willing to negotiate on Eze’s next summer if he is keen to move on to a bigger side.
According to Fabrizio Romano, United are one of the sides who have been scouting the England international.
“For sure, Eze is a player United have been scouting and monitoring as they appreciate his ability, the same was true of Michael Olise while he was at Crystal Palace but the deal was too expensive and he joined Bayern Munich instead,” Romano said in his .
“In the next months, United will be tracking several wingers, and in summer 2025 there is a concrete chance that they will invest money in a new signing for that position.
“For now, I’m not in a position to say that it’s guaranteed that they’ll move for Eze, or who will be their top target, but they will consider bringing in a new winger, and so they will be following several players in the next months.
“I will try to keep you posted on the players they like, on the options they have on the table, on the possibilities they are considering, but for sure Man United are keeping a close eye on opportunities in that position for 2025.”
Tottenham and Man United could sign Eberechi Eze next summer
The Palace playmaker has made a bright start to the 2024/25 campaign with a goal in his latest game against Chelsea.
Eze has been labelled as ‘world class‘ but the opportunity for him to leave Selhurst Park this summer took a major blow after seeing Michael Olise depart.
And with Marc Guehi a player of real interest to Newcastle United, Palace were keen to keep ahold of Eze to avoid potentially losing three top players over the summer.
But with three games under the belts of each side, both United and Spurs look like they could do with a player like Eze.
