Manchester City fans react to Jack Harrison’s goal in Leeds win

A number of Manchester City fans have taken to Twitter to laud Jack Harrison after the on-loan winger scored a stunning goal in Leeds United’s emphatic win over Newcastle on Wednesday.

Harrison looked to have a point to prove heading into the game. He had been taken off at half-time during Leeds’ defeat to West Ham last week after struggling to make an impact.

But he certainly managed to silence any doubters against the Magpies. His first significant contribution came when he set up Rodrigo for Leeds’ second goal.

The Spaniard had initially given the winger a lot of work to do as he fired a pass out to the flank. Harrison however, did superbly to bring the ball under some control before volleying a cross back into the path of the forward, who found the bottom corner.

And Harrison put the exclamation point on the win with an outstanding goal of his own. The 24-year-old collected the ball inside his own half before unleashing a phenomenal effort into the top corner from around 25 yards.

It was an amazing strike from the wide-man. And it prompted plenty of reaction from City supporters on social media.

They have implored Pep Guardiola to give Harrison a chance when his loan expires. Unfortunately for those wanting him back with his parent club, it appears that a decision could be out of the Cityzens’s hands.

, Leeds have the option to make Harrison’s move permanent for £10 million next summer.

Judging by how some City fans have reacted to his latest display, that fee – presuming that Leeds trigger the option – is going to be a bargain.
