Manchester City fans react as Jose Mourinho reportedly eyes Nathan Ake deal

Jose Mourinho is a big fan of Manchester City defender Nathan Ake and could pounce for the centre-back this summer,

The centre-back switched to the Etihad Stadium from Bournemouth last summer, costing the champions-elect He has found regular game time difficult though, playing just 11 times during 2020/21.

As a result, Ake could consider his options in the summer. A report by claims as much, with the defender growing increasingly worried with a lack of game time.

The 26-year-old earns and it might be an ideal time to get him off the wage budget. Ake is behind John Stones, Ruben Dias and Aymeric Laporte in the pecking order.

Now, Roma look set to chance their arm in order to sign the Holland international during the summer. Mourinho recently took over the Serie A side and is likely to return to the Premier League for some new recruits.

Following the news of interest in Ake, City fans have been reacting to the reports on Twitter. It seems as though plenty wouldn’t bat an eyelid if he was allowed to leave and think the club would be wise to cash in.

A loan will work, but I don't think Pep will let him go. He will use Jone Stones’ story to convince him to stay for at least another year. Nathan cannot be that upset for not playing because he had a few injuries.
