Manchester City fans applaud Pep Guardiola for European Super League comments
Manchester City fans have taken to Twitter to applaud Pep Guardiola on his comments on the proposed European Super League which was revealed on Sunday .
ahead of tomorrow’s Premier League clash against Aston Villa, the City manager revealed that the concept of a closed-league competition was one that didn’t appeal to him, with Guardiola saying that such a competition would be unfair for teams that climb their way up the footballing pyramid.
Since the announcement, criticism of a European Super League has been wide-ranging and dense, with players, coaches and fans all coming out to express their distaste in such an idea, and following Guardiola’s comments this afternoon, plenty of Manchester City fans took to social media to praise their manager for what he had to say on the proposed competition.
