Manager tears into ‘incredible’ star after hearing what he’s done just to join Arsenal, ‘lack of character’
Arsenal are having a very impressive summer transfer window.
The Gunners have completed five new signings already – Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard, Noni Madueke and Cristhian Mosquera.
Up next is a new striker, and TBR has confirmed that Viktor Gyokeres is on his way to Arsenal to become their marquee signing.
Landing the ‘‘ Swede has not been easy, but Gyokeres has more than done his bit to force Sporting’s hand in recent weeks.
That has not gone down well in Portugal.
Viktor Gyokeres criticised for his behaviour ahead of Arsenal move
Viktor Gyokeres has done everything he possibly can to join Arsenal.
The Swede had decided to leave Sporting CP in this window, and he had interest from Manchester United and clubs in the Saudi Pro League.
However, Gyokeres made it clear that he only wanted to join Arsenal, and even refused to show up to training to force through a move.
Those actions have upset Laurindo Filho, who is the manager of Portuguese side CD Feirense’s women’s team, and he has had a go at Gyokeres ahead of his move to Arsenal.
Speaking on , Filho said, as translated by : “Precisely that lack of professionalism, that lack of character in my opinion, on the part of the Swede. In the end, that’s what will remain.
“It’s not just about goals, but about helping the club win titles again. As with everything in life, time ends up being a good counsellor.
“And Gyokeres, who could have been a legendary figure at Sporting, will now be remembered only as a great goalscorer.”

Arsenal fans will love everything Viktor Gyokeres has done to secure Emirates transfer
Gyokeres could’ve taken the easy option and joined his old manager, Ruben Amorim, at Manchester United this summer.
However, ever since he learned about Arsenal’s interest, the Sweden international only had one club on his mind and did everything to seal a move.
Not only did he refuse to return to Sporting, but Gyokeres also reduced his wage demands to seal a move to Arsenal. That shows just how much he wanted it.
Furthermore, Gyokeres’ agents also waived some of the money they had to receive from Sporting’s side to get this deal over the line.
It’s not just Arsenal who have worked hard to sign Gyokeres; the player has played a big part as well. That will go down very well among the Emirates faithful.
