Manager says ‘extremely fast’ player is leaving amid reports of Tottenham move
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly got a deal for RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner over the line.
The likes of David Ornstein and Fabrizio Romano recently posted updates about Spurs having reached total agreement to sign the Germany international.
For instance, Ornstein wrote on that Tottenham will be signing Werner on loan with an option to buy in the region of €15-20million (£13-17.2million).
Meanwhile, Romano posted on that the 27-year-old will be travelling to Tottenham this very weekend for a medical in order to be ready for Spurs training next week.

Romano also relayed what Leipzig boss Marco Rose told Sky Sport Germany journalist Philipp Hinze about Werner’s future.
The manager confirmed that the former Chelsea ace would be leaving the club on loan this month, and wished him well on his impending move.
Rose said, as per Romano’s : “He (Werner) wants to go on loan, we wish him all the best. He needs to play as he wants to go to Euro 2024 and we keep our fingers crossed for him.”
Tottenham getting their transfer business done early in January
Tottenham deserve a lot of credit for getting one signing all-but over the line and also closing in on another much-needed reinforcement within the first week of January.
Based on the reports doing the rounds, the next step for Werner is for him to fly to London, undergo his medical, and put pen to paper at Tottenham.
The “extremely fast” forward is a signing that can go straight into the XI.
He has experience at the highest level, including the Premier League, and is match fit, even though he hasn’t played much of late.
Next up on the Spurs agenda is a new centre-back. Radu Dragusin is the main name doing the rounds, with Tottenham said to be in talks over the Genoa defender.
If all goes well, we’ll hopefully have one confirmed signing and another one on the way, before we’re even a quarter of the way through the January transfer window.
It certainly makes a change from when Tottenham brought absolutely nobody in for several transfer windows.
