Manager Mauricio Pochettino once said was ‘better’ than him is now on Tottenham’s list to replace Ange Postecoglou
Tottenham Hotspur are very likely to have a new manager this summer.
Spurs have been under Ange Postecoglou since the start of last season, and the Australian seemed to be the right man for the club when he came in.
But, his second season has been a disaster, and TBR Football revealed recently that Postecoglou is expected to leave Tottenham at the end of this season.
A number of managers have been linked with the Spurs job recently. Some obvious names are in contention, but a few high-profile ones are rumoured to be on the list too.
The biggest name to be linked with Tottenham is Jurgen Klopp.
What Mauricio Pochettino once said about Jurgen Klopp
Jurgen Klopp is an icon of the game.
The German is the biggest reason why Liverpool became a great club again, and even though he left last summer, he is a legend at Anfield.
Klopp is working for the Red Bull group now as their Global Sports Director, but shock rumours have linked him with the Tottenham job.
Spurs are trying to be ambitious and are considering the former Liverpool boss, who is adored by many in the game, including Mauricio Pochettino.
The Argentine has faced Klopp many times over the years, and he is a big fan of him.
Back in 2023, when Pochettino was at Chelsea, he admitted that Klopp was better than him at showing personality and even claimed that he loved his philosophy.
He said, as per : “He is better than me at showing his personality! But yes, his passion is there. Yes, I love him. I love him in a good way.
“I want to beat him on Sunday, but I think it is going to be a good game, and for sure, I am going to enjoy seeing him again.
“I enjoy his philosophy for football, how he is and his character. I like how he is a very warm person, he has his character, and I think his debut was against us at Tottenham. Yes, from there, we’ve had very good relations.”

Can Tottenham get Jurgen Klopp to replace Ange Postecoglou?
Klopp claimed when he left Liverpool that he was tired.
The German was at the helm at Anfield for nearly nine years, and he gave everything for the club. But, the workload took its toll, and he needed a break.
Now, after a while away from the game, reports have claimed that Tottenham are considering Klopp, but Spurs’ chances of getting him are almost zero.
That’s because Klopp has vowed that he will never manage another English club other than Liverpool.
Unless there is a dramatic turn of events, Spurs will have to look elsewhere.
