Man Utd ‘seriously’ considering move for Liverpool-linked Euro 2024 star

Manchester United have reportedly intensified their interest in signing a Euro 2024 star who this week has been linked with Liverpool.

This summer has seen a number of players come to the forefront of the public with their performances at the Euros, with Arsenal close to signing Italy sensation Riccardo Calafiori, with Spain playmaker Dani Olmo rumoured to be a target for Manchester City and Tottenham.

With La Roja set to take on England in the final on Sunday, there’s a real chance that the breakout stars from this summer’s tournament in Germany could be heading to the Premier League in some capacity.

And one name is now attracting interest from United having already caught the eye of Liverpool.

Manchester United join Liverpool in race for Adrien Rabiot

claim that the Red Devils have joined the race to sign France midfielder Adrien Rabiot, with Erik Ten Hag’s side ‘seriously’ considering a move for former PSG man as an alternative to Benfica wonderkid Joao Neves.

With Liverpool also reportedly interested in the free-agent, the battle to sign Rabiot could be about to get interesting with United now in the mix for the former PSG star’s signature this summer.

Rabiot has been one of France’s best-performing players in recent years and was once again impressive at the Euros this summer, with the midfielder also shining for Juventus despite their relative fall from grace in Serie A.

And with United now interested in signing Rabiot, Liverpool could have extra incentive to move for the French midfielder, who could be an exceptional signing for the Reds given his age and his experience.

Liverpool need to go all out to sign Rabiot this summer

Having lost Thiago Alcantara with the midfield looking light in patches last season, a top reinforcement could be exactly what Arne Slot needs to take his new squad up a level and in a new direction in the post-Jurgen Klopp era.

Yet with United in the hunt for Rabiot, the Anfield side will need to get a move on if they’re to bring the French superstar to Merseyside this summer, with 29-year-old maestro an ideal fit for Liverpool and Slot.

This summer will be a big one for the Premier League giants under their new Dutch coach, and signing Rabiot off the bat could be a good way to excite supporters and to increase the quality in the midfield in a big way.
