Man Utd have spoken about signing £10m player from Wolves

Manchester United have some serious problems at left-back right now.

Noussair Mazraoui is currently playing that role, but he’s not a natural left-back.

Luckily for Manchester United, the January transfer window is open, and United are in the market for a new left-sided full-back.

Milos Kerkez has been linked to United, while David Raum is also a target for Ruben Amorim.

Kerkez isn’t the only Premier League option United are looking at either.

Indeed, according to Ben Jacobs, speaking on The Stretford Paddock, United have also had a few internal discussions about signing Rayan Ait-Nouri from Wolves.

Manchester United keen on Rayan Ait-Nouri

According to Jacobs, United have had a few internal discussions about signing Rayan Ait-Nouri from Wolves.

The £10m man is a potential United target, and that may be a smart move. After all, Milos Kerkez would rather join Liverpool according to recent reports.

“You’ll have Leon, you have Luke Shaw hopefully getting fit soon and they want one more,” Jacobs said.

“This is where the links with Milok Kerkez, the story I broke months ago, he’s still on the radar. Nuno Mendes, who Amorim gave his debut to at Sporting.

“Some also say Rayan Ait-Nouri, although, at this stage I’m not able to back up that there’s anything more than a few internal discussions on that one, but let’s see whether it develops over the coming months.”

Rayan Ait-Nouri stats this season

Rayan Ait-Nouri could be just what the doctor ordered at Old Trafford.

Indeed, Ruben Amorim loves a full-back who can be an attacking threat, and there aren’t many full-backs in the Premier League who are as attack-minded as Ait-Nouri.

Ait-Nouri’s stats show just how threatening he can be in the final third.

He’s chipping in with plenty of goals and assists this season, and that’s something that would make him a great fit for Amorim’s team.

Of course, whether or not United can get this deal done is another matter.

Wolves aren’t out of the woods in terms of a relegation battle this season, and they won’t be keen to sell any of their star players at this juncture.

Matheus Cunha has been linked with Arsenal as well, but Wolves are not keen to sell any of their big name players.

Ait-Nouri to Manchester United is one to watch, but perhaps this is a deal that is more likely to come off in the summer.
