Man United now interested in £20m Arsenal target labelled one of the best passers in Europe
Manchester United are now considering a move for a midfielder who is thought to be on Mikel Arteta’s shortlist at Arsenal this summer.
Although Arteta and his team in north London would like to recruit a new midfielder this before the window closes, perhaps a number six, it seems as if United may only add if they sell in the area.
In that regard, it might be considered ideal if Casemiro were to move on, allowing Dan Ashworth to reinvest the funds raised and the wages then cleared from the bill.
Although, amid interest from Saudi Arabia, the Brazilian is currently set to stay at Old Trafford.
Elsewhere, Arsenal’s rivals Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Scott McTominay, a player Erik ten Hag wants to keep at the club.
That being said, amid their own search for a midfielder to accompany Declan Rice in the middle, as Kobbie Mainoo eventually did at the Euros, Arsenal are said to be interested in Youssouf Fofana.
Fofana could be available for £20m this summer, and that seems to have perked United’s interest too.
Man United now join Arsenal in race for Monaco star Youssouf Fofana
According to journalists Dharmesh Sheth and Lyall Thomas, United have been looking at the Monaco man as a potential arrival if a midfielder were to leave this summer.
The information also insisted that dialogue remains open with Paris Saint-Germain over a deal for Manuel Ugarte, even if initial talks have highlighted a gap in valuation.

TBR Football recently shared that Ugarte was keen to join United, but it remains to be seen if a compromise can be found.
Right now, we will have to wait and see whether Arsenal will make a concerted effort to sign Fofana, who has been labelled one of the best passers in Europe.
It seems as if Edu’s focus is currently on Arsenal completing a deal for Riccardo Calafiori, who may be in place in time for the start of the Emirates Cup.
Arsenal are set to play Manchester United in the US next week in a pre-season friendly.
Stateside United fans will excited to see Leny Yoro potentially in action, even if Joshua Zirkzee may be missing from the tour group.
However, Arsenal supporters won’t be watching any new signings other than those who have joined their under-21s.
