Man United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has just made a claim about Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta
Co-owner of Manchester United, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, has now made a surprising claim about Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.
Although Ratcliffe will soon be hoping to oversee a project which returns Man United to the title-race reckoning, Erik ten Hag’s team aren’t at that level quite yet.

And in truth, United haven’t truly competed for the league title since Sir Alex Ferguson left despite finishing second on a few occasions.
That being said, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has been begrudgingly speaking about this year’s title race between Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City.
Speaking on the ‘’ podcast, the Man United man said that he honestly hates all the clubs involved if he’s telling the truth.
And although he was initially reluctant to choose a winner this season when asked, Ratcliffe eventually admitted that he would most like to see Mikel Arteta lift the title with Arsenal.
Interestingly from a United perspective, Ratcliffe praised Arsenal for sticking by their manager and being patient, referring to the periods in which Arteta was initially struggling to deliver results.
Man United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe admits he wants Mikel Arteta to win the league at Arsenal
Speaking on the podcast, Ratcliffe admitted that Arteta has done an excellent job all in all at Arsenal.
He stated: “I hate them all, well you’ve got Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal haven’t you.

“Well, I don’t know, they’re all the enemy, I couldn’t possibly choose one.”
After a moment he then said: “It would be good for Arteta actually, I think it would be good for him, because he’s done really well there and Arsenal have been patient with him which is nice as well.”
As stated, the last line will be particularly interesting when United fans consider Erik ten Hag’s future.
Mikel Arteta never seemed to be under any huge pressure at Arsenal, there was always the understanding that it would take time to recover from some of the fall out of the Unai Emery era.
But eventually that faith has paid off and Arsenal are still in contention for two of Europe’s biggest trophies this season.
That being said, it seems Man United may now been clearing the way for Arsenal to pursue a move for a Bundesliga forward.
