Man City’s Kyle Walker says ‘incredible’ £96m player Liverpool wanted to sign is as good as Jude Bellingham
Kyle Walker feels there isn’t much between Jamal Musiala and Jude Bellingham, with the two midfielders making massive strides in recent seasons.
♏Bellingham was linked with a move to Liverpool last summer🐲 but opted to join Real Madrid, where he played a pivotal role in the club’s La Liga and UEFA Champions League triumphs.
On the other hand, ꦡManchester City and Liverpool were credited with an interest in Musialaജ earlier this summer, with the midfielder set to be valued at around £96m.
⛄Liverpool were said to be considering making a move for the German superstar, but they have not yet pushed on with their interest.
Walker believes Musiala and Bellingham♋ have the world at their feet currently, with both players impressing at Euro 2024 earlier this summer.
Kyle Walker says Jamal Musiala is on par with Jude Bellingham

🍸Having played alongside Bellingham for England, Walker knows a thing or two about the Real Madrid midfielder and described his exploits with Los Blancos last season as ‘incredible’.
♊However, Walker refrained from choosing between Bellingham and Musiala as he went on to lavish praise on the latter’s ability.
ꦰ“I think he’s a breath of fresh air,” Walker said about Musiala on Sky Sports Premier League’s YouTube channel.
🥀“I spoke with Harry [Kane] a lot over the summer and obviously we talked about him. He just said he’s unbelievable.
♔“I played against him and you know you kind of think he’s a little bit young, you can try and get around him and bully him but you know he took it like a duck to water so I think he was incredible.”
🥀Musiala scored 12 goals in all competitions as Bayern endured a rather turbulent season under Thomas Tuchel. The Bavarians surrendered their Bundesliga crown to Bayer Leverkusen and finished trophyless, with Musiala emerging as a bright spark in an otherwise underwhelming campaign.
ꦜBellingham, on the other hand, was the star of the show for Real Madrid as they did the double.
💝The 21-year-old capped off a stunning debut season in Spain with 23 goals to his name across all competitions and was named La Liga Player of the Season, while he is also one of the frontrunners for the 2024 Ballon d’Or.
Musiala staying put at Bayern Munich
𒅌Bayern are entering a new era under Vincent Kompany and will be eager to tie down Musiala for the long haul.
ꦚThe German international is undoubtedly one of the brightest talents in world football and is the kind of player managers would want to build teams around.
🎃Musiala’s contract runs out in the summer of 2026 and Bayern are locked in talks to renew his deal. In the meantime, the Bavarians are unlikely to entertain offers for Musiala regardless of what potential suitors might be willing to pay.
What to expect from Liverpool before deadline day
🌃The Reds could be forced into action before the transfer deadline as some of their players are attracting interest.
💎Chelsea and Aston Villa are keeping tabs on Joe Gomez, with the England international left out of the Liverpool🍰 squad for their Premier League opener against Ipswich Town.
༒Liverpool have been linked with a move for Goncalo Inacio꧒ as a potential replacement for Gomez, with the Portugal international currently plying his trade with Sporting CP.
🍷It remains to be seen what happens but Liverpool face a race against time to reinforce their squad before the transfer window slams shut.
