Man City player ratings vs Juventus, new £36m signing gets 8/10 rating in Club World Cup win
Three wins from three in the FIFA Club World Cup group stage means that Manchester City have finished top of Group G.
Jeremy Doku, Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, Savinho and an own goal from Pierre Kalulu ensured that City defeated Juventus 5-2 in Orlando to reach the Round of 16.
Man City will earn around £36m for their participation in the group stage, highlighting why clubs were so keen to take part in the tournament.
Doku stole the headlines for the former Premier League champions, however, it was one of Pep Guardiola’s new signings who impressed on his second appearance.

Ederson – 5
Ederson gifted Juventus an equaliser just a few seconds after Manchester City opened the scoring following a poor pass out.
The Brazilian goalkeeper didn’t have a great deal to do after that, but his glaring error unfortunately let him down.
Matheus Nunes – 8
Matheus Nunes enjoyed a brilliant afternoon at the Camping World Stadium as he managed two assists from right-back.
The Portugese midfielder is now starting to make the right-back his own, and his display against the Italian side will have helped his case.
Manuel Akanji and Ruben Dias – 6
Man City’s centre back pairing of Manuel Akanji and Ruben Dias was rarely tested by a very poor Juventus side, who had just four attempts at goal.
Akanji was rather poor for Juve’s second goal as he lost track of Dusan Vlahovic who had plenty of time to slot home.
Rayan Ait-Nouri – 8
Rayan Ait-Nouri proved why City signed him as the defender formed a strong partnership down the left side with Doku.
The former Wolves player set up the Belgian attacker with a brilliant pass as he showed the attacking side of his game against Juve.
The 24-year-old finished the game with a 100 per cent pass accuracy as he completed 50 out of his 50 passes.
Rodri – 7
Rodri made his first start since returning from injury and showed great signs that he is slowly working his way back to his best.
The Spaniard’s presence in the midfield made City look so much more assured, and he also looked to be forming a strong partnership with Tijjani Reijnders.
Bernardo Silva – 7
Bernardo Silva formed a solid trio of great passers in the midfield for Man City and the Portuguese international enjoyed another great display.
Tijjani Reijnders – 8
Reijnders looked really tidy in the midfield for Guardiola’s team and as expected, he could be the perfect partner for Rodri.
The former AC Milan man managed a 95 percent pass accuracy, and he made two key passes.
Jeremy Doku – 9
Doku was almost certainly the best player on the pitch and was a constant menace down City’s left flank throughout the 90 minutes.
The Belgian international netted his first City goal since January after latching on to Ait-Nouri’s brilliant pass.
The winger completed a very impressive seven dribbles from eight attempts as he made it a tricky game for Kalulu.
Savinho – 8
Savinho netted a sensational goal as he curled his effort well beyond Michele Di Gregorio, which crashed off the crossbar and found its way in.
The Brazilian also set up Phil Foden, but otherwise he had a quiet game up, although his goal will certainly be one of the main talking points from the game.
Omar Marmoush – 6
Omar Marmoush had a tough afternoon in Orlando as he was withdrawn at half-time following a sluggish performance.
The striker had 27 touches in attack but never really looked like threatening Di Gregorio’s goal and was replaced by Haaland.
Substitutes
Erling Haaland – 7
Haaland netted one of the easiest goals of his career as he tapped home Nunes’ cross from just a few yards out.
Guardiola raised eyebrows by starting him on the bench, but his impact in the second-half helped them get over the line.
Phil Foden – 7
Haaland then helped create Foden’s goal as his effort was parried and Savinho laid it on a plate for the England international to slot home from close range.
