But his contract at The Etih🍌ad will expire at the end of the 2024-25 season. It remains unclear if Guardiola will sign a new contract at City, and it could depend on the options available to the gaffer next summer.

What Pep Guardiola has said about Man City target Xabi Alonso…

A🦂lonso’s work in Germany is nothing short of sensational. But perhaps it was no surprise he would be a top-level boss – working under the likes of Jose Mo𝄹urinho, Rafa Benitez, Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti.

The world’s best, or certainly, th🃏e best when working under them. Guardiola managed the Alonso at Bayern, and has pꦕraised him recently for the job he is doing as Leverkusen boss, in Germany.

“If you ask me [about] the job he is doing, honestly? Wow. He’s unb🦩eaten, the only team in modern football that’s unbeaten in all competitions and fighting in that way with Bayern Munich,”
