‘Magnificent’… Thierry Henry now compares 22-year-old Arsenal attacker to Kevin De Bruyne

After a dramatic late win against Luton Town last night, Thierry Henry was pouring out with praise for several Arsenal players at full-time.

The Arsenal legend was covering the game for and continued to discuss the performance well into the night.

And when reviewing the goals scored by Mikel Arteta’s side against Luton, Henry made a stark comparison regarding one Arsenal player.

Whilst he was impressed by his assist and all round play, there was one particular moment of Bukayo Saka’s game that Henry absolutely loved.

In the build up for Gabriel Jesus’ goal to make the game 2-1, Henry was amazed by Saka’s clever piece of play to step out of the front line and into midfield.

: “You see Kevin de Bruyne do that. Not the pass, I’m talking about what Bukayo Saka does.

“The way he pulls away from the pressure to be able to see the pass and be able to see the pass and get it to Ben White.

“The way he went back to get that little space to be able to have time to make that assist, it was just magnificent.”

Of course, Saka will certainly see that as a compliment.

The forward has so many brilliant aspects to his game, but last night’s pre-assist was a very promising sign.

Saka is now having to adapt his game, he’s having to work harder to find pockets of space given how often he is doubled-up on.

Luton manager Rob Edwards even mentioned after the game how he set out a game plan to stop Arsenal’s strengths – their world-class wingers.

However, that was ultimately in vain given the duo did have a huge influence on the game.

Credit should be given to the home side, who were unfortunate to leave the game with nothing.

However, Henry will likely point out that Arsenal are always likely to find a way to take the three points against Luton when Saka is performing as such.

There were several brilliant performances, including those of Gabriel Jesus and Declan Rice.

However, there was one sour note on a good evening, which Arteta provided an update on after the game.
