‘Magic’, ‘he’s class’: Some fans in awe of Liverpool prospect’s display for his country
Liverpool defender Neco Williams had a home debut to remember for Wales as he helped his nation make it two wins out of two in the Nations League.
The 19-year-old Reds academy graduate came on for Connor Roberts in the 65th minute of the Dragons’ meeting with Bulgaria at the Cardiff City Stadium.

A dour game looked set to be heading for a goalless draw but, in the fourth minute of injury time, Williams was on hand to head home from Jonny Williams’ cross from the left.
As well as earning a second win in the competition following the 1-0 victory over Finland on Thursday, Wales have won their last four competitive games in a row for the .
And with Williams having played such a big role in this latest victory, plenty of plaudits came his way, with some of the social media reaction below:

Williams joined Liverpool’s academy as a six-year-old and has progressed through the ranks, culminating in a great breakthrough season last time out.
The teenager made his first-team debut in the Reds’ League Cup tie with Arsenal last October, which the Merseysiders won on penalties after an exhilarating .
Williams made a further 10 first-team appearances in , six of which came in the Premier League, and also claimed a medal as part of the triumphant FIFA Club World Cup squad.
In August, he and later in the month, in the Community Shield meeting with Arsenal at Wembley.
