‘Made a difference’: Ian Wright seriously impressed with one West Ham player despite Manchester United loss
Ian Wright has told that he was seriously impressed with West Ham United striker Michail Antonio today.
The Hammers fell to a 1-0 defeat against Manchester United but will feel hard done by to have not picked up at least a point.
David Moyes’ side fell behind just seven minutes before the end of the first-half as Marcus Rashford headed past Lukasz Fabianski.
But West Ham really pushed United in the second-half and could have come away with a positive result on another day. Antonio replaced Gianluca Scamacca in the 56th minute and made a big difference for the Hammers.
They looked far more threatening while going forward with him on the pitch and Wright was full of praise for the striker.

Wright impressed with Antonio
“Michail Antonio came on and made a difference,” .
“I would like West Ham to play both Antonio and Gianluca Scamacca together in a 4-4-2 and have a bit of a go.”
Scamacca put in an underwhelming display this evening and cut a frustrated figure while he was on the pitch.
The former Sassuolo man was replaced by Antonio after he came close to picking up a second booking.
Antonio has struggled for game time in recent weeks but he will have impressed Moyes with his display tonight.

The 32-year-old went close in the second-half too but his effort from the edge of the box was saved by David De Gea.
The Spaniard denied West Ham late on in the game as he produced some brilliant saves to prevent Kurt Zouma and Declan Rice from grabbing an equaliser.
Moyes will be scratching his head and wondering how his side are heading back to London with nothing. But he will be encouraged by a promising second-half display at Old Trafford.
