Lyon fans react to Leeds eyeing Maxwel Cornet

A number of Lyon fans have taken to Twitter to comment on that Leeds United are eyeing a move for Maxwel Cornet in the transfer window.

Leeds are surely going to sign a new left-back this summer. Gjanni Alioski and Stuart Dallas largely covered that position this past season.

However, Dallas went on to prove a revelation in midfield. Alioski meanwhile, is yet to confirm where his future lies.

And it appears that Cornet is one player the Whites are interested in. However, that Leeds were not prepared to meet his asking price.

According to the report, Lyon want £20 million for Cornet. And the Premier League side may therefore delay making a move until later in the window.

But perhaps Leeds should reconsider their stance – judging by how some of the Lyon fans have reacted to the reports on social media.

Many have expressed their disbelief at the reported asking price. They clearly feel that the Ivory Coast international should be worth considerably more.

And several have insisted that it would be a huge blow if he did leave the Ligue 1 side during the transfer window.

That will certainly please the Leeds supporters hoping to see a deal for Cornet.
