Luke Ayling and Tyler Roberts react as Leeds agree Kalvin Phillips contract
Luke Ayling and Tyler Roberts both took to Twitter to express their delight after that Kalvin Phillips has signed a new long-term contract at Elland Road.
Phillips’s future has been a key talking point for some time. The midfielder enjoyed a stunning first season under Marcelo Bielsa last term.

The 23-year-old was a revelation in what could arguably be considered the most important role in Bielsa’s system. Unsurprisingly, Leeds faced a battle to keep the academy graduate once the club missed out on promotion.
that Phillips attracted attention from a number of Premier League sides during the summer. It was also claimed that the Whites rejected bids worth over £20 million.

And in a further statement of intent, the club have been able to confirm that Phillips has now penned a new five-year contract with United that could keep him at Leeds until 2024.
It is a fantastic move from Leeds to tie Phillips down. While he surely will be playing in the top flight sooner or later regardless of whether the Whites go up or not, the new deal shows that Phillips is determined to play at the highest level with his boyhood club.
And it is not just the Leeds fans who are delighted to see Phillips commit his future to the Whites. The news has also gone down well with some of his teammates.
Both Ayling and Roberts took to social media to comment on the announcement…
