Lukasz Fabianski exit should lead Swansea City to Liverpool’s Danny Ward
Swansea City have sold goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski. West Ham United have paid a fee in the region of £7 million to make the Poland stopper their new number one under Manuel Pellegrini after the Swans were relegated to the Championship.
So could this now pave the way for a Liverpool exit?
The player in question is Danny Ward. and would be the perfect recruit for the Swans.
First of all, he would be playing in his Welsh homeland which would make him an immediate fan favourite. The 24-year-old is also more than experienced in the Championship. He was Huddersfield Town’s goalkeeper when they won promotion in 2017, playing the majority of games for the Terriers that season.
He is also not getting a look in at Liverpool. In two days time, the Wrexham-born star will turn 25 and he needs to be playing first-team football on a regular basis.
With Fabianski gone Swansea need a new goalkeeper and Ward is clearly the perfect man for the job.
Liverpool, on their part, should not stand in his way and allow him the chance to become a hero in South Wales if Swansea do follow up their initial inquiries.
