Luka Jovic brace highlights why Tottenham should be keen
Last month saw a report linking both Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur with the Benfica forward Luka Jovic. that the two London clubs both have him in their sights as a potential new signing.
This is not the first time Tottenham have been linked with the player. In 2015, Tottenham were being linked with a move for the then 17-year-old, who was playing for Red Star Belgrade. The likes of Arsenal, Ajax and Benfica were also mentioned in the report, with the Portuguese side eventually snapping him up.
Tottenham’s interest certainly looked justified last month after Jovic smashed five goals past Fortuna Dusseldorf in one game.

Yesterday, he highlighted once again just why Tottenham would be right to sign the player. The 20-year-old smashed home two goals as Frankfurt put Schalke 04 to the sword 3-0. It was his 12th goal in his last 12 games for the club and he is undoubtedly going to be a big target for clubs going forward.
, Frankfurt can buy the player outright for just £5.3 million in January. Of course, that would mean he leaves at a much higher price, or Tottenham would need to outdo Frankfurt in some way.
Tottenham, however, need a new striker to give able back-up to Harry Kane. Based on his recent form, Jovic really might be the best fit for the role.
