Lucas Torreira reacts on Instagram as teenager completes Arsenal loan exit
Miguel Azeez has completed a move to leave Arsenal on loan until the end of the season, joining Portsmouth – and Lucas Torreira has reacted.
Azeez, 18, made his debut for Arsenal’s first team last season. The England youth international came off the bench to play against Dundalk in Europe.
The highly-rated midfielder was a regular in the club’s Under-23 side last season, clocking up 23 second-string outings for the Gunners.
An impressive stat, given he is still only 18. In that time, he has had five goals from midfield – scoring three goals and laying on two assists.
In his first two PL2 games, Azeez has captained both matches – scoring in a 6-1 loss to West Ham.
Azeez joins Portsmouth: Torreira reacts as Arsenal teen goes on loan
It is a brilliant move for Azeez. Portsmouth are obviously one of the bigger clubs in League One, finishing in eighth place last season.
This season, Danny Cowley will get the chance to manage Portsmouth for a full season after only joining Pompey in March.
Portsmouth have made an excellent start to League One life this time around, winning three of their opening five and sitting in fifth.
Azeez has joined that push for promotion, adding a bit of flair and raw ability in the middle of the park. A brilliant move for Pompey, and Azeez.
Torreira, who joined Serie A side Fiorentina from Arsenal on loan this summer, responded on Instagram.

In other Arsenal news, the Gunners could end up selling a player to Barcelona if Tottenham push through a deal.
