Lucas Leiva sends Twitter message to Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold

Ex-Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva sent a message on Twitter about current star Trent Alexander-Arnold, as he starred in an impressive 4-0 win over Leicester City on Boxing Day.

Jurgen Klopp’s team moved 13 points clear at the top of the Premier League table by thrashing second-placed Leicester at the King Power Stadium.

Alexander-Arnold assisted two goals and scored another, while his cross also lead to a penalty converted by James Milner.

The 21-year-old has developed into one of the world’s best right-backs in the past couple of years and he’s a major attacking threat.

He’s got an impressive record of 20 Premier League assists since the start of the 2018/19 season and is such a key player in the Reds side.

Former Liverpool favourite Lucas described him as “world class” on following his Boxing Day masterclass.

TBR’s View:

Alexander-Arnold has to be the best attacking full-back around right now in world football and his crossing from the right flank is such a weapon for Liverpool.

He was too much for England colleague Ben Chilwell to handle on Thursday, as he continued to showcase his attacking talent in big games.

There are many who feel his future will lie in midfield, but for now it makes no sense to move someone thriving in his role at full-back as it still allows him to get forward freely.

Liverpool certainly have at least a handful of world-class starts in their ranks and there is a strong case to see academy graduate Alexander-Arnold is one of them.
